Seabreeze's Kelly Hall will make a return trip to the Class 2A girls state weightlifting championships.
Hall just made it into field in the unlimited weight class with a 310-pound total at the regional meet on Jan. 26. Hall had a 155-pound bench press and a 155-pound clean and jerk to place sixth in Region 2-2A. She is also the lightest lifter to qualify in the unlimited class at 219.6 pounds.
Hall is the only Seabreeze lifter to qualify for states. The 2A state tournament is scheduled for Feb. 11 at Port St. Joe High School.
Three other Sandcrabs finished among the top 10 at regional. Hailey Strohm was eighth in the 154-pound class with a 130-140—270. Guarielyz Rivera was eighth in the snatch competition at 169 pounds with a lift of 80 pounds. Becca Morrow also competed in snatch, finishing 10th in the 101-pound class with a 50 pound lift. Rivera and Morrow are both freshmen.
