Flagler County Sheriff Rick Staly visited three local schools Thursday, Feb. 17, to present three exceptional students with awards for being “Great Kids” for the month of January 2022.
- Ethan Mancini, of Imagine School at Town Center: Ethan reads with kindergarten classes and sets a great example for younger students to follow.
- Shawn Steven Swartz, of Indian Trails Middle School: He is a member of the Junior Police Academy and conducts himself with respect, honor and integrity.
- Sierra Kemp, a senior at Matanzas High School: She volunteers to help EAS Life-Skills students during the third period. She assists with obtaining lunch meals daily from the cafeteria and helps students by pushing their wheelchairs in order to transition within the school campus during Adaptive PE.
