Two dogs, one cat and one guinea pig have been featured as this week's Halifax Humane Society Adoptable Pets of the Week.
The first is Lincoln, a 10-year-old terrier and American Staffordshire mix with a black and white coat. He originally arrived at the shelter back in June 201 as a stray that no one reclaimed. Since then, he's been adopted and returned a total of seven times. Previous adopters have said he is not good with male dogs or cats, so he is required to be adopted into a home without those. He is, however, great with children and loves to play fetch. Lincoln has recently developed some separation anxiety and storm anxiety, and would benefit from a home familiar with these conditions. He is patiently seeking his forever home. His adoption fee is $35.
The second is Snow. a 5-year-old German shepherd mix with a white and tan coat. She would do best in a home without cats and small children. Her adoption fee is $150.
The featured cat is Peanut, a 1-year-old domestic shorthair mix with a white and black coat. She is currently in a foster home and her adoption fee is $50.
Last but not least is Pepper, a 1-year-old guinea pig with a grey coat. Her adoption fee is $15.
The Halifax Humane Society's adoption lobby, located at 2364 LPGA Blvd., is open to the public daily from noon to 6 p.m. Admissions are accepted daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Appointments are required for admissions, boarding and grooming. There is no appointment required to visit the adoption lobby. Masks are not required but encouraged. To adopt, contact [email protected] or call 274-4703.
