Palm Coast will celebrate Independence Day with Fireworks over the Runways on Sunday, July 3, and the annual Flagler Beach Independence Day parade will be held the morning of July 4.
Here's what to expect.
Fireworks over the Runways, held at the Flagler Executive Airport at 201 Airport Road in Palm Coast on Sunday, July 3, will start with musical performances and conclude with a fireworks show.
Gates open at 4 p.m. July 3. Festivities include performances by Chillula and Feedback the Band, and food vendors will be on site, according to a news release from the city of Palm Coast. No outside alcohol is allowed.
An Independence Day ceremony will begin on the main stage at 7 p.m., starting with the presentation of colors by the Palm Coast Fire Department Honor Guard.
There will be a reading of the Declaration of Independence, conducted by local officials; Melanie DiMartino will perform the National Anthem, and Florida Rep. Paul Renner will give a veterans welcome.
A 20-minute fireworks show by Santore will begin at 9 p.m., featuring more than 1,000 exploding shells.
The event is a collaboration between the city of Palm Coast, the Flagler County government, the Flagler Executive Airport and Flagler Broadcasting.
For full event access: Park at the Flagler Executive Airport. Enter via Airport Road or Aviation Drive. Traffic units will direct cars to parking areas inside the airport gates. Once parking at the airport is at capacity, entrances will be blocked off.
Parking is also available at Flagler Palm Coast High School, at 5500 State Road 100 East. A shuttle service will begin at 4 p.m.
For those attending only to view the fireworks show: Pass the airport entrance and and instead take Belle Terre Parkway south to Fin Way, where there will be parking and portable restrooms.
After the fireworks show, event traffic will be routed out of the airport from Aviation Drive and Airport Road and will be directed east; there is a U-turn at Town Center Boulevard. Traffic leaving Fin Way will have no traffic restrictions.
The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office will maintain traffic control, crosswalks and parking along with assistance from the Palm Coast Public Works Department.

The parade will begin at 10 a.m. Monday, July 4, on State Road A1A in Flagler Beach. There will be detours in place for traffic around the center of town near the parade route.
Detours will be placed on S.R. A1A at North 10th Street and South Seventh Street at approximately 9:45 a.m. and last about two hours, according to the Flagler Beach Police Department.
Police officers and volunteers from the Flagler County Sheriff's Office Citizen Observer Patrol and Flagler County Assist help with traffic flow.
