The mission of Homes Bring Hope is to lead the facilitation of homeownership opportunities for hard-working families. Homes Bring Hope’s Founder and Chair Forough B. Hosseini maintains a vision to empower the entire community and reduce the poverty rate by 10% by 2030 through prosperity pathways and strategic agency alliances.

The Washington family’s story is one of hard work, hope, and determination. Allaina Washington works for the State of Florida for the Hope Florida — A Pathway to Prosperity program. She is a native of Daytona Beach and has two beautiful daughters who were also welcomed to their brand-new home.

“This is a dream come true with our first brand new home built," Hosseini said. "We will continue to empower families to have equity in their very own home creating prosperity for generations to come.”

Washington’s commitment and perseverance to becoming a homeowner, enabled her to achieve her lifelong goal of homeownership, showing her children and community peers that they too can achieve their dreams. In her words of appreciation, she looked at the many supporters attending the home-warming celebration.

“I cannot say thank you enough to Mrs. Hosseini and everyone here today," Washington said. "You may have never met me and did not know who was moving into this home, but you laid a solid block foundation for me and my family.”

While this is Homes Bring Hope’s ninth success story, this home-warming celebration was remarkably special because it was the program’s first new constructed house by the organization. The two-story, three bedroom, and two-and-a-half-bathroom home was built on donated land from the city of Daytona Beach by the longtime homebuilder Moji Babazadeh, owner of Team Moji. With Babazadeh knowing the importance and value of equity and stability through homeownership, the program has been fortunate to earn his support as HBH leads more families to the goal of homeownership.

Present at the home-warming celebration were several dignitaries from the city of Daytona Beach which included Mayor Derrick Henry, City Manager Deric Feacher, City Commissioners Quanita May and Paula Reed.

“The best way to reduce the wealth gap in America is through homeownership," Henry said. "The city is proud and honored to be a partner with Homes Bring Hope in helping the Washington family achieve the American dream. The overall project is making great strides toward our goal of achieving equity in the 32114 area."

Also in attendance was Police Chief Jakari Young who announced the donation of a Ring Alarm System to the Washington family’s home on behalf of the Daytona Beach Police Department.

Homes Bring Hope currently has six more homes under construction, with five future homeowners under contract to move in within a few months. Erin LeDuc, executive director of Homes Bring Hope, is eager to help hardworking families get out of high-priced rental properties and into homes that create an investment that they can take pride in for many generations to follow.

Homes Bring Hope is breaking ground with the alliance of the entire community to foster prosperity for 32114. To see a list of our valued partners and donors, or to contribute, please visit the Homes Bring Hope website: HomesBringHope.org.
