Judge Melissa Distler presides over misdemeanor and delinquency dockets in Bunnell.
Flagler County Court Judge D. Melissa Distler has been elected president-elect of the Florida Conference of County Court Judges at the judges’ summer education conference in Bonita Springs.
She will be sworn in as president in July 2024 and serve for two years.
The Florida Conference includes all 335 county court judges in Florida's 67 counties.
Distler, who is board certified in criminal trial law, was first elected to the bench in 2012 and was re-elected without opposition in 2018.
She presides over misdemeanor and delinquency dockets in Bunnell.
Distler is also associate dean of the College of Advanced Judicial Studies and lectures at other judicial education conferences.
