Schneald Castor graduated from Flagler Palm Coast High School this year with a 5.20 weighted GPA and has been accepted to the University of Florida.
John Winston, U.S. Navy veteran and president emeritus of the African American Mentor Program, was and Schneald's mentor. "Schneald is a clear example of the tremendous impact that a mentor can have in helping a child develop academically, morally, and often spiritually into a world class asset to mankind," Winston said.
The AAMP is in its 19th year in Flagler Schools, having served over 2,000 students at FPC alone. The AAMP is one of the oldest and most productive mentoring programs of its type in Florida and the U.S. Its program graduates have gone on to attend major colleges and universities in Florida and nationwide.
