On Saturday, May 28, The Florida Republican Assembly, celebrated the grand opening of its headquarters at 285 S. Yonge St., in Ormond Beach. The ceremony included a ribbon cutting, as well as over 60 attendees, including Chuck Collins, president, Republican Conservatives Ormond Beach Assembly; Pam Fitzgerald, secretary, RCOBA; Peter Kouracos, president, Florida Republican Assembly; and Jeff Brower, chairman, Volusia County Council.
Brian A. Cantrell has been an associate of Buckmaster & Ellzey since 2016, and as of April 1, 2022, he became the firm’s newest partner. Cantrell has worked in family law and for clients facing criminal charges in both state and federal court. Jeremy Buckmaster, the founder and managing partner in the firm, stated, “David Ellzey and I are beyond excited to welcome Brian to the partnership.”
A new laundromat, Daytona Laundromat, located at 2004 S. Ridgewood Ave., in South Daytona, is providing free use of its washers for self-service customers from June 20 to June 26. “I’m giving back to the community that gave so much to me throughout my childhood,” says Mike Jones, owner of Daytona Laundromat and Daytona native. Customers are only required to pay for use of the dryers, which are 25 cents for five-minute intervals. Customers must supply their own detergents, fabric softeners and dryer sheets. The items are also available for purchase from the soap vending machine.
