To celebrate Black History Month on Feb. 28, 65 students in Nina DeBodisco's classes at Bunnell Elementary School selected a Black figure from history who helped bring positive change to the world despite hardships along the way.
"The hallway was abuzz with students from fourth through fifth grade touring the exhibit," DeBodisco wrote in a text message to the Palm Coast Observer. "It was great to see the children get so excited about their project. They learned that it is possible to overcome great obstacles and shine on."
Teachers, we want to share your inspiring class projects with the community. Email the who, what, when and where to [email protected], along with photos, for a chance to be included in the Observer.
