The Casements Camera Club's 29th "Ebony & Ivory Show" will be on display through March 30 at The Casements.
The show features 50 images by 40 photographers, all members of the Camera Club. A special awards reception was held on March 4 where Adelet Kegley was awarded "Best of Show" with her piece titled, "Shoes, Product Display." All entires were judged by Jayanti Seiler, assistant chair and professor of photography at the Southeast Center of Photographic Studies at Daytona State College. Siobhan Daly, coordinator of the Casements, also presented The Casements award.

Gallery Hours at The Casements are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to noon. The Casements is located at 25 Riverside Drive.
GriefShare, a special seminar and support group for people grieving the loss of a loved one, will meet at Central Baptist Church at 142 Fairview Ave. from 2:30-4:30 p.m. on Thursdays beginning on March 17.
Free to attend. Participants are asked to donate $20 to over the cost of the workbook used during the 13 weeks. Each session includes a video seminar followed by a group discussion. Oil and Vinegar selected Food Brings Hope as its charity of choice for the February Day of Giving, according to a press release.
The Food Brings Hope team and numerous community supporters attended a recent event that also featured Gallery500 artist Cathy Miller and photographer Brandon Stanley. Both Oil and Vinegar and Gallery500 agreed to donate 10% of their sales for the duration of the event to Food Brings Hope. Guests were provided food, refreshments and live music.
In addition, Monterey Grill in Port Orange chose Food Brings Hope as its charity of choice for December, donating $471 to the nonprofit. The funds were generated by a percentage of the sale of each hamburger meal at the restaurant.
“Because of the generous donation and support and commitment of General
Manager Larry Braidlow and his staff, approximately 15 families will receive weekly food bags for a full month," said Judi Winch, Food Brings Hope executive director.
Registration for summer camps at the Ormond Memorial Art Museum is now open.
Crafted for children ages 6-11, the summer camps are run by experienced instructors with a small teacher/student ratio, according to OMAM's newsletter. Campers will explore a variety of mediums as they create art projects that coordinate with the week's theme. Children may attend one or more sessions, and must be 6 years old at the time of camp, and have completed kindergarten to enroll.
The session dates and themes are as follow:
Each camp begins at 9 a.m. and runs until noon on weekdays. Sessions will be held inside the new OMAM classroom and inside the gardens. Pack a snack and drink for break time each day. Applications for the Martha Halling Panhellenic Scholarships by the Daytona Beach Area Alumnae Panhellenic are now available.
Applicants must be residents of Volusia or Flagler County and an undergraduate member of the National Panhellenic Conference affiliated sorority. The Daytona Beach Area Alumnae Panhellenic has awarded scholarships to college students who are members of NPC organizations at the University of North Florida, Florida Southern College, University of Florida, Stetson University, Florida State and University of Central Florida.
Applications must be received by March 20 and scholarships will be awarded at the Spring Luncheon in Daytona Beach on May 7. Ormond Beach Police Chief Jesse Godfrey, an Army veteran, was awarded a J.J. Martin Leadership award at Ormond Strong and Vietnam Veterans of America Daytona Beach Chapter 1048's fifth annual J.J. Martin military/first responder Family Appreciation Day event at Rockefeller Gardens on Saturday, Feb. 26.
J.J. Martin Day was founded on Aug. 13, 2016 and began as a partnership between both veteran organizations, according to Ormond Strong's Facebook page. Martin, a retired Air Force veteran, died on Aug. 18, 2016 and had been president of the VVA chapter.
