Bill Lewis was drafted into the U.S. Army and sent to Vietnam where he served admirably and was wounded in combat.

He is a recipient of the Purple Heart Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with three bronze service stars, and Combat Infantryman’s Badge.

After military service, Lewis worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 31 years, and then moved to Palm Coast in 2004, with his wife Patsy. In 2019, he represented the county’s Purple Heart recipients at the Flagler County Commission meeting and was presented with a proclamation of recognition.

Lewis is a member of the American Legion and a truly proud Veteran.
