Publicist for Shaun Melady
Actor and model Shaun Melady has been cast in the second season of "The Grams," formally entitled "Gossiping Grams." The web series, which will now air in Massachusetts and Rhode Island on Channel Nine, started as a sketch comedy with the same actors switching roles and has now transitioned into a miniseries with an upbeat and steady cast.
Director and writer Sue Kessler presents the dramedy, which features underlying messages of mental health from loneliness to depression, but all with a comedic edge. Melady enters the world of "The Grams" as Ned Winkle, an awkward yet strikingly handsome character, who collects vacuum cleaners and “services” Gram Nan, all the while struggling to find his true identity.
Melady, a rising film star and accomplished international model, has starred in award-winning short films, "The Disturbance Call" and "Abysmo," along with two Atlantic Records’ web shows garnering over 11 million subscribers entitled "Labeled Series" and "Anya Marina: Indie-pendent Woman." Additional film and television credits have included "Abbie Stonehenge" (2018) and most recently "Murder Under The Friday Night Lights" (2022). Melady began his acting career on stage starring in three Off-Broadway plays, including Aeschylus’ Greek tragedy, "The Persians," and two original works — "The Killers" and "Disconnected."
Dubbed as the world’s newest supermodel, Melady has walked numerous Fashion Week shows, most recently with African-American designer Vava Zadi along with leading designers including Elie Balleh Couture, Kuéne, Kevin Shahroozi Designs, Cindy Tran Fashion, Status Plus Fashions and more. He has also worked with Fortune 500 clients and men’s wear brands for commercial and print work, including: Michelob Ultra, U.S. Navy, Tricots St. Raphael, Kane 11, BABE Rosé and a variety of other brands.
