Two projects were recently completed at the Ormond Memorial Art Museum and gardens.
According to a newsletter by the museum, the "Gale Lemerand Butterfly Garden" — an art display of butterflies sponsored by Lemerand — and the installment of a chandelier in the grand entrance are now available for public viewing. The chandelier was sponsored by Sherry and Roy Gailey.
In addition, one local Seabreeze High School senior created a "Free Little Art Gallery" for the museum gardens.
The newsletter states that Annabella Olivari, on a mission to share her love of art with her community, created the wood structure with a metal gable roof, styled after OMAM's historic Emmons Cottage. The little gallery houses miniature works and small blank canvases to provide a dedicate and accessible place for visitors to gift and discover art. A ribbon-cutting ceremony for this
new feature is set for 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 22.
Olivari is the vice president of Seabreeze's National Honor Society and the recipient of the Silver Key from the Northeast Florida Scholastic Art Awards. She founded an installed a "Free Little Library" at the Environmental Discovery Center and on Seabreeze's campus.
