UPDATE: Flagler County ‘White Table Ceremony’ canceled

The county government hopes to reschedule the ceremony, which was originally set for Nov. 12.

UPDATED: 5 a.m. Nov. 12.

The White Table Ceremony originally scheduled for 10 a.m. on Nov. 12 has been canceled, according to the county government.

The ceremony plans involved Embry Riddle Aeronautical University Air Force ROTC students, and the students have not yet returned after Hurricane Nicole. 

The county hopes to reschedule the event and will release more information in the future.

The Flagler County Public Library main branch on Palm Coast Parkway will hold a “White Table Ceremony” on Nov. 12 to honor service members who are prisoners of war or missing in action.

The POW/MIA Honor Guard Detachment of 157 Air Force ROTC at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University will perform the ceremony at 10 a.m., Library Director Holly Albanese said.

The Friends of the Library will provide refreshments after the ceremony.

The table and ceremony script will remain set up at the library through Monday, Nov. 14. 

The library is located at 2500 Palm Coast Parkway Northwest.
