Local Boys and Girls Club families receive up to $5,000 in gifts from Cricket Wireless

The event was part of the company's "12 Days of Cricket" campaign.

Three local families were surprised with gifts from Cricket Wireless last week, in partnership with the John H. Dickerson Boys and Girls Club in Daytona Beach.

According to an announcement, the Butler, Leggett and Rose families were given a host of holiday gifts, gift cards and some critical need items. The event was part of the company's "12 Days of Cricket" campaign, which aims to support young people and their families by "fostering kindness and providing resources to inspire smiles throughout the holiday season," the announcement states. 

Each of the local families, whose children have been members of the John H. Dickerson Boys and Girls Club for about three years and have excelled at the DME Academy, received up to $5,000 in gifts.
