Assistant to the Flagler Beach City Manager

Do you want to know more about what happened in Flagler Beach during Hurricane Ian? How did the city, county and our community partners respond to the Hurricane? Do you have any follow-up questions?

Wednesday, Oct. 26, the city of Flagler Beach will be hosting a Hurricane Information Forum for residents to learn about Flagler Beach’s and Flagler County’s preparation and response to Hurricane Ian.

The event begins at 6 p.m. at Father O’Flaherty Parish Hall at Santa Maria del Mar Catholic Church, at 915 N. Central Ave., Flagler Beach.

Between 6-7 p.m., the city of Flagler Beach Departments and Flagler Strong will have informational tables for residents to visit and ask questions.

The formal program will start at 7 p.m. The program will include Scott Spradley, resident and author of the Hurricane Ian Beachside Blog, Tracy Callahan-Hennessey, President of Flagler Strong, Jonathan Lord, Flagler County Emergency Management Director and William Whitson, Flagler Beach City Manager.

“We’re excited to gather the Flagler Beach community to discuss what went well and what we can improve upon in our emergency response activities. Great communities always take the time to pause and reflect on how to improve,” City Manager Whitson said about the forum.
