Seabreeze has only played three football games this season, but its bye week couldn't have come at a better time.

The Sandcrabs turned the ball over five times in a 28-9 loss at University on Sept. 9. Jaay-R Cook had two interceptions and two rushing touchdowns for University.

The 'Crabs, which fell to 0-3, now have two weeks to prepare for DeLand, which will travel to Daytona Stadium on Sept. 23.

Seabreeze has shown flashes this season on offense, defense and special teams. The Sandcrabs scored 27 points in the second half against Bartram Trail, the fourth-ranked team in Class 4S which is coming off a 17-3 victory over Mainland. Seabreeze also rallied from a 21-0 deficit against Spruce Creek in the season opener before falling, 21-14.

The Sandcrabs will need to find more consistency at the quarterback position moving forward. After DeLand, Seabreeze will face its first district opponent in undefeated Deltona on Sept. 30 at home.
