The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office is still investigating rumors of a shooting threat by students against Indian Trails Middle School for Friday, April 14.

The FCSO added extra patrols to stop in at the school throughout the day on Friday, Public Affairs Officer Maria Hernandez wrote in an email on April 14. The Sheriff's Office is still receiving numerous tips and following up on them, but  have not found any conclusive evidence to believe this is a credible threat at this time, Hernandez wrote.

FCSO posted on its social media pages just after 5 p.m. on April 13 that the rumors were being investigated. At this time, nothing has been substantiated from the rumors, an FCSO communications officer said.

Sheriff Rick Staly asks parents talk to their kids to see if they have any information on the rumors and those who do should call the Sheriff's Office immediately at 386-313-4911.

This is a developing story that has been updated.
