The city of Bunnell has issued a precautionary boil water notice for the entire city.

Water service was interrupted early on Friday, April 14 when the city’s water plant temporarily shut down. Water service and pressure has since been restored but the city has issued a boil water notice until water analysis shows that no bacteriological matter is in the water supply, a press release from the city said.

As a precaution, the city advises residents to boil tap water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth or washing dishes, the press release said. A rolling boil of one minute is sufficient, it said.

The city will send out a notice when the boil water notice is lifted. Anyone with questions can call the city’s utilities department at 386-437-7515.
