Gabe Breckenridge named Flagler County Rotary Club Student Athlete of the Month

The Matanzas High School senior has earned his associate degree from Daytona State.

The Flagler County Rotary Club recognized Matanzas High School senior Gabe Breckenridge as its April Student Athlete of the Month at its regular meeting on April 11, according to a Rotary Club press release.

Breckenridge is a varsity baseball player who plays shortstop for the Pirates. He has earned an associate degree from Daytona State College and will enter Mississippi Valley State University in the fall to play baseball and study pre-law.

His community service includes volunteering for the Palm Coast Little League. He was accompanied at the Rotary Club meeting by Matanzas High School Athletic Director Jordan Butler, baseball coach Jim Perry, and his parents, Lamont and Candi Breckenridge.
