A 23-year-old Palm Coast man was killed when another car hit his Toyota in Orlando on April 23.

The incident happened at the intersection of Dean Road and the State Road 408 off ramp just after 4:30 a.m. The other vehicle — a Hyundai SUV driven by a 15-year-old — was speeding and ran a red light, according to the report from the Florida Highway Patrol.

The 23-year-old’s Toyota was making a left turn from the S.R. 408 exit ramp to go north on Dean Road when the Hyundai, going south on Dean Road, hit the Toyota’s driver’s side. The Toyota hit the median and overturned onto its right side.

The Palm Coast man died at the scene. The Hyundai had six passengers, ranging from 13 to 16-years-old, four of which are in serious, but not life-threatening, condition, the FHP report said. The teenagers were all taken to Arnold Palmer Hospital for treatment.

The teenagers were reportedly driving a stolen car, FHP confirmed. The Orange County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the theft and the crash is still under investigation by the FHP.
