Bike and Backpack Giveaway

When: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Where: 237 Boulder Rock Dr, Palm Coast

Details: The Council Society will hold a bike and backpack giveaway on Aug. 4 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 237 Boulder Rock Drive, Palm Coast.

Murder Mystery Dinner Show

When: 6 p.m.

Where: VFW Post 8696, 47 Old Kings Road North, Palm Coast

Details: Help raise funds for displaced and foster children in Flagler County by attending this pirate-themed dinner and show hosted by the Seawolf Privateers. There will be a silent auction, games of chance, a cash bar and more. Doors open at 5:15 p.m. Visit seawolfprivateers.org/fundraisers.

Movies on the Halifax

United Way Stuff the Bus

When: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 5-6

Where: Tangar Outlets, 1100 Cornerstone Blvd., Daytona Beach

Details: The Community Foundation and United Way of Volusia-Flagler Counties are hosting their third annual Stuff the Bus. They have added a KidsCorner, and on Saturday, there will be a DJ, Kona Ice Truck, and more! The first 100 people who donate to Stuff the Bus  will get a bookbag that they can keep or donate back to the School Bus. Guided kayak tour

When: 9-11 a.m.

Where: Gamble Rogers Memorial State Recreation Area, 3100 S. Oceanshore Blvd., Flagler Beach

Details: Enjoy the serenity of being on the water while observing the native flora and fauna. All experience levels welcome. Space is limited. Reservations required. A $45 donation includes rental of a single or tandem kayak or canoe, or donate $20 if brining your own kayak. Proceeds benefit Friends of Gamble Rogers State Park. Cash, exact change or check only. Probus Club meeting

When: 11 a.m. to noon

Where: Social Club of Palm Coast, 51 N. Old Kings Road

Details: Probus Club, a social club for retired and semi-retired men and women, meets monthly with a guest speaker of interest and other activities throughout the month. This month's speaker is Kathy Reichard-Ellavsky, president of the Palm Coast Historical Society, who will discuss the origin, development and future of Palm Coast. Gamble Jam

When: 2-4 p.m.

Where:  Gamble Jam pavilion, Gamble Rogers State Park, 3100 S. Oceanshore Blvd., Flagler Beach

Details: Musicians gather to play in remembrance of James Gamble Rogers IV, a renowned Florida folk singer and storyteller whom the park is named after. Acoustical instruments of all types are welcome. Meet other musicians, practice or just have fun listening. Program is free with paid park entry: $5 per vehicle (two to eight people); $4 single-occupant vehicle; $2 pedestrians bicyclists, extra passengers, or  passengers in vehicle with holder of Annual Individual Entrance Pass.

Summer Jazz Fest

Details: Keep cool at the North East Florida Jazz Association (NEFJA) annual Summer Jazz Fest. The Melvin Smith Jazz Ensemble will perform a tribute to the great Wayne Shorter as well as music from saxophonist Smith's new CD. An opening act by the Taylor Snell Collective will feature two winners of NEFJA's music scholarships: band leader and sax player Taylor Snell and drummer Ethan Grussgott. Food trucks will be on site.
