Max is a 3-year-and-10-month-old male. Max weighs 80 pounds and is loving and eager to please. He has also previously lived with other dogs and was first brought to the shelter after being seized by Animal Control because of owner neglect and abuse. He was adopted after spending months in the shelter, but was quickly returned in March through no fault of his own. Max hasn't let his past get him down however, as he is still happy, playful and loving with people.

Riggs is a 10-month-old purebred American Blue Heeler. Riggs weighs around 35 pounds now but shouldn't reach over 50 pounds full-grown. Riggs has lots of puppy energy but is very intelligent and eager to learn. He is crate- and house-trained. Riggs was surrendered for resource guarding his food and toys with the family's young children, so he would do best in a household with children 10 or older. He has been at the shelter since June.
