Palm Coast is hosting a public ribbon cutting to recognize the completion of the improvement projects at Waterfront Park.

The ribbon cutting will be at Waterfront Park  at 9 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 18, according to a press release from the city of Palm Coast. The improvement project began in Nov. 2022 and added a floating dock, a concrete-pad water access point for non-motorized water crafts, new sod and landscaping and additional visitor information.

That work was completed in Phase A. Phase B is still ongoing but will add additional parking to the park, the press release said.

Stormwater and Engineering architect and Project Manager Eric Gebo said it was important the improvements were made without taking away from the park's natural beauty.

"Having the ability to install the floating dock, new and improved green space and adding kayaking, paddle boarding and canoeing to the slate of what this park has to offer is something that we are really excited for residents to get out there and enjoy,” Gebo said.
