Garbage, recycling and yard waste collection schedules remain unchanged in the city of Ormond Beach and unincorporated areas of the county.

Additionally, Volusia County reported in a press release that there will be no special storm debris collection. Residents who have vegetative storm debris should place it for collection in accordance with yard waste pickup.

In unincorporated areas, residents may place up to 4 cubic yards of vegetative debris a week, the press release states, and limbs are not to exceed 4 feet in length, 1 foot in diameter, or weigh a total of more than 60 pounds.

For Ormond Beach residents, the city states on its website that yard waste must not include any waste generated by a contractor — lawn service, tree trimmer, etc. This yard waste must be removed by the contractor at his or her own expense.
