The Palm Coast Holiday Boat Parade has set a new record with 104 registrants for its 2023 parade.

The parade, organized by the Palm Coast Yacht Club, is at 6 p.m. on Dec. 9, and Palm Coast will livestream the parade on its YouTube channel. Palm Coast Mayor David Alfin read a proclamation in honor of the parade’s 40th anniversary at a Dec. 5 City Council meeting.

Boat Parade Chair Sarah Ulis said this is the largest lighted boat parade in Florida, and one of the largest in the country.

The parade will be held in honor of community activist Al Krier, who died in December 2022. Krier’s boat will lead the parade this year.

The parade will begin at Cochise Waterway and head south to the Cimarron and Club House Waterways, sail under the Hammock Dunes Toll Bridge and pass St. Joe Walkway and Waterfront Park, a Yacht Club press release said.

Flagler County will provide free shuttle busses from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. to European Village from designated parking spots at the Palm Coast Community Center and Daytona State College’s campus.
