Meet Fiona, Macchiato, Kodak and Kay, Flagler Humane Society's featured Pets of the Week.
Fiona, 2, was found as a stray in the W Section of Palm Coast on Nov. 2. She is friendly and affectionate with people and has a lovely, soft coat. Fiona likes to meow, be vocal and rub against people or show them her stomach to get pats.
Macchiato, 3, was surrendered on Dec. 3 when her previous owner moved. Macchiato is a friendly female who loves to be patted and knead in her bed. She is missing a part of her back left paw, but is able to move around well, and it doesn't seem to bother her much.
Kodak, 7, was surrendered on Oct. 29 when his previous owners lost their home. He is an affectionate, loving, laid-back teddy bear who loves to cuddle. He is house- and crate-trained and good with cats, other dogs and children.
Kay, 2, is a friendly, all-orange female cat. She is pretty rare, as all-orange cats are almost always male. Kay was found as a stray and brought to the shelter on Oct. 6.
The Flagler Humane Society is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 1 Shelter Drive in Palm Coast.
Adoption fees vary based on the animal, and the shelter has both dogs and cats up for adoption.
Anyone who is interested in adopting or has questions about the process can contact the Flagler Humane Society at 386-445-1814 or apply online at flaglerhumanesociety.org.
