There were impressionist paintings of the ocean, golden hour palm trees, gemstone jewelry — and a flamingo wearing flip-flops.
One customer who walked under Diane Dedo’s Flip Flops at Your Door tent at the Holiday Arts on the Halifax River, said it was a “happy booth” and “it makes me smile.”
Dedo, who lives in Tomoka Oaks in Ormond Beach, was one of 107 arts vendors at the event on Dec. 9-10, at Sunrise Park, in Holly Hill. This was the first year the event was held in December, rather than the spring.
Palm Coast painter Ray Brilli won the Award of Distinction at this year’s festival.
"It was a true, juried fine arts show," said Pat Masiotti-Abernathy, who cofounded the event with Pam Fieldus.
Funds raised from the show support arts and music in schools, with beneficiaries as follows: Holly Hill School, UBIC Academy, and Rossmeyer Family Holly Hill Boys and Girls Club.
