The Flagler County Education Foundation is beginning the "Well Read Wanderers Literacy Workshop," a series of educational events tailored for families of young scholars in Flagler.

The workshops are designed to foster a love for reading and learning while providing valuable tools and resources to support literacy development in young minds.

Flagler County Education Foundation partnered with New Worlds Reading to provide a monthly resource to receive books at home.

On Dec. 9, it held a Workshop at MIP, Me In Progress, with the book, “If You Give a Mouse a Cookie.”

More than 40 children attended the event, which involved lunch and creating a cookie craft. Parents were informed about literacy resources, and every student who attended received a copy of "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie."

The Well Read Wanderers Literacy Workshop is a unique opportunity for families to come together and explore the world of literacy in a fun and interactive way.

Flagler families are invited to attend the next workshop, on Jan. 20. For more information, contact Stephanie Ellis at [email protected].
