Meet Cooper, Wheelie, Rex and Marky, this week's featured pets from the Flagler Humane Society.
Cooper, 1, is an energetic and playful male brindle terrier hound mix. He was surrendered to the shelter in July for being too playful and rough with another dog in the home. He knows basic commands and is crate- and house-trained. Cooper would do best in a home where he can get his exercise in.
Wheelie, 2, is a female terrier mix who listens well and loves be outsides and play fetch. She was found as a stray in the P Section in January.
Rex, 5, is friendly with everyone he meets and enjoys being pet. He was found as a stray in the S Section. People can meet Rex at the at the Petco in the Island Walk Shopping Center, where he waits to be adopted. He is good with other cats and litter box trained.
Marky, 8, is a volunteer favorite who is good with other dogs and children. He is a male terrier mix and is house-trained. He was found as a stray in July on Clubhouse Drive.
The Flagler Humane Society is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 1 Shelter Drive in Palm Coast.
Adoption fees vary based on the animal, and the shelter has both dogs and cats up for adoption.
Anyone who is interested in adopting or has questions about the process can contact the Flagler Humane Society at 386-445-1814 or apply online at flaglerhumanesociety.org.
