A Palm Coast man was found guilty of stalking and soliciting sex from a minor and is facing up to 15 years in prison.

Jerome Malerba, 47, was found guilty by a jury on Dec. 13 for three third-degree felony charges: unlawful sexual activity using computer services or devices, aggravated stalking of a victim under 16 years of age and unlawful use of a two-way communication device. Each charge carries a maximum sentence of five years in prison, according to a press release from the Flagler County Sheriff's Office.

Malerba was arrested in November 2022 and had been messaging the victim for over two years, a November 2022 FCSO press release said. Malerba sent multiple messages to the minor demanding sexual favors and even threatening the teenager for sexual favors.

Malerba will be sentenced by Judge Terence Perkins on Feb. 21.
