Girls from Pace Center for Girls joined Songwriters Showcases of America founding member Phil Weidner for an afternoon of caroling at Sarah House Assisted Living on Dec. 6.
"The holiday season provides an opportunity for our girls at Pace to showcase their compassion and kindness within the community," said Sheila Jordan, executive director of Pace Volusia Flagler. "By engaging with the seniors at Sarah House Assisted Living, they are not only spreading joy but also learning the significance of empathy and communal harmony."
In addition to singing to the residents, the Pace girls prepared handmade cards and spent quality time engaging in conversations and activities with the residents.
"We are immensely proud of our Pace girls for their unwavering dedication to making a positive impact in the community," Jordan said. "Witnessing the smiles and joy they bring to the faces of the residents at Sarah House Assisted Living reaffirms the importance of fostering compassion and camaraderie."
