Daytona Beach motorcyclist killed in crash on North Nova Road

Rutledge Wayne Boushell, 60, died at the hospital on Saturday, Feb. 11.

A 60-year-old Daytona Beach man died after a minivan crashed into his motorcycle at the intersection of North Nova Road and Sterthaus Drive in Ormond Beach on Saturday, Feb. 11.

According to the Ormond Beach Police Department, the minivan — which was being driven by an 88-year-old Ormond Beach man — was attempting to make a left turn from Sterthaus Drive to go southbound onto North Nova Road when it pulled out in front of the motorcyclist, identified as Rutledge Wayne Boushell, and crashed into him. 

Boushell was taken to Halifax Health Medical Center, but was pronounced dead shortly after his arrival. The driver of the minivan sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was also taken to the hospital for treatment.
