The Ormond Beach Historical Society held its 47th annual meeting and installation of officers on Thursday, Jan. 26.
The theme of the event was "The Best is Yet to Come" and in addition to the installation of the board of directors, the event also recognized several community members with designated awards for their contributions to the city.
The board of directors, installed by Historical Society Past President Nancy Lohman, is as follows:

The awards went to:
- Community Preservation Award: Dr. Tim and Mrs. Catherine Root, owners of the Rowallan estate
- Community Partnership Award: A.M. Weigel Construction, Inc.
- John Andrew Bostrom Memorial Award: Bonda Garrison
- Anderson-Price Memorial Award: Jim Geis
- Volunteer of the Year: Bill Denny
