AdventHealth Palm Coast Parkway in Flagler County will open its doors to patients Aug. 2, doubling the inpatient capacity and nearly doubling the emergency room capacity of Flagler County.
The 100-bed, 158,000-square-foot facility includes surgical suites, cardiac catheterization labs, endoscopy suites for digestive health issues, and more.
"This new, state-of-the-art facility will serve as a beacon of hope and healing," Dr. Audrey Gregory, president and CEO AdventHealth Central Florida Division, North Region, said at a press conference on July 25. "It embodies AdventHealth's $167 million investment in our community and in the health care infrastructure."
The second hospital in Flagler County, AdventHealth Palm Coast Parkway sits between U.S. 1 and Belle Terre Parkway at 1 AdventHealth Way.
The hospital is 8 miles north of AdventHealth Palm Coast, which recently celebrated two decades of caring for the Flagler County community.
Complementing the hospital is a 30,000-square-foot medical office building that opened on June 12.
"This has been years in the making," said Wally De Aquino, president and CEO of AdventHealth Palm Coast Parkway. "Going all the way back to 2019, when we started our planning and site selection, we eventually broke ground in September of 2021, and what a time in history to start a project like this."
A community celebration from 1-4 p.m. July 26 will welcome area residents to tour the hospital and meet the team members, including physicians, nurses, and support personnel.
