Volusia County Public Works hosts job fair to boost local workforce

The job fair will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Thursday, June 15, at the Volusia County Public Works Northeast Services facility located at 3771 W. International Speedway Blvd., Daytona Beach.

Volusia County invites job seekers to explore rewarding careers in various divisions of public works. The job fair will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Thursday, June 15, at the Volusia County Public Works Northeast Services facility located at 3771 W. International Speedway Blvd., Daytona Beach.

The job fair aims to fill several key positions within Volusia County's Public Works department. Attendees will have the chance to engage in on-site interviews with representatives from the following divisions: Road and Bridge, Water Utilities, Solid Waste, Coastal and Traffic Engineering. Volusia County offers an array of benefits to its employees, including but not limited to CDL training, paid personal leave, paid holidays, FRS retirement, health insurance, reliable schedules and tuition reimbursement.

"We are excited to invite individuals who are passionate about making a difference in their community to join us at the Volusia County Public Works job fair," said Ben Bartlett, county director of public works. "This event provides an excellent opportunity for people to explore the diverse range of careers available in public works while learning about the attractive benefits package we offer."
