It's senior appreciation at the Flagler Humane Society and to celebrate, all fees for senior pets are waived while adult pet fees are only $25 until May 15.
This week's featured pets for Pets of the Week are Gator, Treat and Gloria.
Gator is one of the long term residents the shelter, and is in desperate need of a home or even just a foster family — he has been a resident at the shelter since January 2022. He is a 5-year-old, 70-pound catahoula hound mix with a lot of love to give. He would do better in a home with older kids and no other animals.
Treat is a 9-year-old, female exotic shorthair cat and she came to the Flagler Humane Society as an owner surrender in March. Treat may take some to come out of her shell, but with patience, she can be anyone's best friend. She also has an emotional support bear she loves to cuddle with.
Gloria is a 2-year-old terrier mix who has been at the shelter since December 2022. She came to the Humane Society in very poor condition, but is now doing much better and is looking for her forever home. She is still working on her manners but has lots of love to give.
The Flagler Humane Society is located at 1 Shelter Drive off of Highway U.S. 1 in Palm Coast. It is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Adoption fees vary based on the animal and the shelter has both dogs and cats up for adoption.
Anyone interested in adopting or who have questions about the process can contact the Humane Society at 386-445-1814 or apply online.
