Bank of America recently granted $25,000 to Homes Bring Hope, an initiative of the Food Brings Hope Community, to support its home-building efforts for low and moderate-income families.
Homes Bring Hope intends to utilize the grant funds to construct additional housing in East Central Florida for families in need, according to a press release.
“Bank of America’s grant and partnership will help Homes Brings Hope’s new homeowners by using the grant to cover the appliance costs,” FBHC Interim Executive Director Terril Bates said. “This will decrease the cost of the home, making it more affordable.”
Bank of America is partnering with Homes Bring Hope to help provide essential services related to basic needs, such as food and shelter. Homes Bring Hope is just one of 18 East Central Florida nonprofits the bank is supporting with economic mobility grants awarded to local nonprofits throughout the year.
“Developing strong partnerships with nonprofit organizations like Homes Bring Hope is necessary to driving meaningful and sustainable progress in East Central Florida,” said Peter Mannino, president of Bank of America East Central Florida. “Our partnership with Homes Bring Hope builds upon our community commitment by increasing access to affordable housing.”
Bank of America was also featured as FBH Community “Partner of the Month” at a recent Prosperity and Homebuyer event held at a local Bank of America financial center.
