Ormond Beach residents reappointed to Halifax Health board of commissioners

Residents Alan Florez and Dr. Michael Munier were reappointed by Gov. Ron DeSantis.

Two Ormond Beach residents — Alan Florez and Dr. Michael Munier — ave been reappointed to the Halifax Health board of commissioners, announced Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis on Friday, Nov. 3.

Florez is the executive vice president of Foundation Risk Partners and previously served on the University of Central Florida board of trustees. He also was the deputy director of legislative affairs and special assistant to former Gov. Jeb Bush. Florez earned his bachelor’s degree in political science from UCF.

Munier is the president of Coastal Ear Nose & Throat. He is the director of the East Coast Community Bank and a current member of the Volusia Medical Society. Munier earned his bachelor’s degree in physics from the University of California, Berkeley and his doctor of medicine degree from Columbia University.
