A suspect was arrested on Oct. 1 when he fled on foot after robbing a Circle K gas station on Palm Coast Parkway, according to the Flagler County Sheriff's Office.

John Ramsey Davis Jr., 44, has been charged with petit theft, loitering or prowling, resisting arrest with violence, and robbery without a weapon, according to a press release from the FCSO. Davis is being held at the county jail on $62,000 bond.

At around 8:24 p.m., FCSO deputies received a call that a man wearing a black hoodie robbed the store while keeping his hands in his hoodie as though he had a gun, the press release said.

Deputies spotted Davis running along Palm Coast Parkway towards the county library, the press release said. He was caught when he tripped and fell near the library parking lot.

Deputies searched Davis. They did not find a weapon, but did find the cash stolen from the store register in his pocket, the press release said.
