The Walkusky family were selected as Ormond Memorial Art Museum’s featured family from the museum’s Oct. 6 Free Family Art Night event.
The Walkuskys — who have a 9-year-old son named Gabe — love all things creative, according to a statement from OMAM. The family is from Holly Hill.
"Mom is a long time scrapbooker and dad is a music man," OMAM stated. "At 9, son Gabe loves creating art through many mediums, from drawing and coloring to creating with Legos and doing tie-dye."
This month's activity consisted of making a mixed-media fall forrest collage.
The museum’s Family Art Night takes place from 5:30-7 p.m. on most first Fridays of the month. All art supplies are provided, and the program is sponsored in part by the Women United Volusia Chapter.
The next program is scheduled for Nov. 3.
