Despite rainy conditions, Volusia County planted 30 trees at Tymber Creek on Saturday, Sept. 30, thanks to the help of about 25 volunteers.

The trees were planted around the community’s retention pond, located north of the Tymber Creek Subdivision entrance on North Tymber Creek Road.

The tree planting was made possible through county's Tree Replacement Trust program, which is a dedicated account established as a depository for the tree replacement fees and monies that relate to tree preservation, according to the county website.
