Healthier, Wealthier, Wiser holds presentation on sickle cell awareness

Healthier, Wealthier, Wiser, Inc. board, volunteers and executive director held their fourth 2023 Seminar Saturday Series presentation on sickle cell awareness on Sept. 30.

About 20-25 people came out to hear about sickle cell and treatments from speakers Donna Edwards, a registered nurse; and Keiana Long Hargrett, director of Levi Long Sickle Cell Association of Daytona Beach.

Healthier, Wealthier, Wiser, Inc. was launched in 2022 by Belinda C. Davis, of Ormond Beach. The nonprofit concentrates on empowering citizens on managing their medical diagnoses along with educating and bringing awareness to citizens on the fundamental’s steps of remaining disease-free, according to a press release.

HWW, Inc. is made 100% possible thanks to volunteerism. During the seminars, the nonprofit presents health care providers as speakers, free health screenings, and a free "lunch and learn." The nonprofit plans to expand into Holly Hill and Daytona Beach in 2024.
