The Jewish Federation of Volusia and Flagler Counties is almost to its $100,000 goal for matching funds for humanitarian aid to Israel.

On Friday, the Jewish Federation announced in an email that it had raised over $90,000 in the four days since it held a vigil to support Israel after the recent attack by Hamas. At the vigil, the nonprofit pledged to send $100,000 of its reserve funds for humanitarian support.

The Jewish Federation asked the community to help match its donation.

"Please join us to support Israel by helping us achieve the 'match' and hopefully exceed our goal, so we can significantly help our Israeli brethren recover from this tragedy," the Jewish Federation stated in an email.
