As part of its Young Audience Series, The Peabody Auditorium Foundation will present TheaterWorksUSA’s family musical, "Charlotte’s Web," based on E.B. White's loving story of the friendship between a pig named Wilbur and a little gray spider named Charlotte.
Tickets are $25 each and can be purchased by visiting www.peabodyfoundation.org or calling 386-631-1974. The show will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 28, at the News-Journal Center at 221 N. Beach St.
Kathy Berman, executive Director of the PAF, said she is “so excited about bringing a second season of TheatreWorksUSA’s incredible programming to our community — and to continue to offer a matinee opportunity for young families.”
PAF President Rene Bell Adams agreed.
“Charlotte’s Web is a timeless tale — that delights readers of all ages — and is a great favorite of mine, personally," she said. "I am so proud of the continued passion of our board of directors, who, through our Peabody Auditorium Foundation’s Young Audience Series, feels so happy and privileged to bring theater of this caliber to our community.”
In 2017, the organization launched its "Youth + Art = Success! Program," which provides students the opportunity to attend cultural programs and performances. It also provides scholarships for high school seniors studying the performing arts.
