Ormond Beach Area Democratic Club meeting

When: 7 p.m.

Where: 56 N. Halifax Drive, Ormond Beach

Details: Join the Ormond Beach Area Democratic Club for its October meeting, which will focus on promoting awareness of local, state and national issues and responsive ways to put American democratic values into action. International Food & Music Fest

Where: Santa Maria del Mar Catholic Church, 915 N. Central Ave.,

Details: Santa Maria del Mar Church is inviting the community to its second annual International Food & Music Fest. The event will feature a concert with local musicians, including the church’s former pastor, Father Albert Esposito. An international-themed dinner will follow in the Parish Hall. Tickets are limited and will be available at weekend masses at the church for $25 per person or $200 for a table of 10. No ticket sales at the door. Proceeds support the Joy & Care-Giving Foundation and Catholic Relief Services. Marineland Monster Mash

Ormond Beach Special Population Spooktacular Halloween Party

Details: Get ready for a Spooktacular Halloween Party at the Nova Community Center, hosted by Ormond Beach Leisure Services Special Populations Division and SPARC of Volusia. Tickets cost $3 at the door.

Kurt Allen Band

Howl-O-Ween! K9 costume contest and party

When: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Where: Wickline Park, 315 South 7th St. S., Flagler Beach

Details: FB Creates is hosting its first dog costume contest fundraiser at the Farmers Market. There will also be a demonstration by the Flagler County Sheriff's Office K-9 unit, dog training tips, costume awards and more. Free event.

Arts and Craft Fair

When: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 21; and 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 22

Where: Prince of Peace Social Hall, 600 S. Nova Road Ormond Beach

Details: The Council of Catholic Women at Prince of Peace will host a two-day Arts and Craft Fair. Free event. Food available for purchase. There will be 40 booths.

Downtown Daytona Beach Children's Business Fair

When: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Where: Riverfront Esplanade, 355 N. Beach St., Daytona Beach

Local history authors roundtable

Where: Anderson-Price Memorial Building, 42 N. Beach St., Ormond Beach

Details: Meet four local history authors — Mark Lane, Robert Redd, Ryan Lowry and Zach Zacharias, who will be discussing their recently published books. There will be a question and answer session followed by book sales and signings.

'Boo-ling for Wishes' fundraiser

When: 6-9 p.m.

Where: Palm Coast Lanes, 11 Old Kings Road N., Palm Coast

Details: The Realty Executives Oceanside Team is hosting a bowling fundraiser to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Central and Northern Florida. Attend for a night of costumes, cosmic bowling and a silent auction. Prizes will be given to the best individual and team costumes with Palm Coast Mayor David Alfin as the honorary judge. 

Monday, Oct. 23

'Swing against Hunger' golf classic fundraiser

When: 10 a.m. breakfast; noon tournament

Where: Grand Haven Golf Club, 500 Riverfront Drive, Palm Coast

Details: Motto Mortgage will hold its Golf Classic fundraiser, "Swing Against Hunger," to raise money to combat food insecurity in Flagler County. Registration is $125 per player. The day includes a mimosa and bloody Mary breakfast at 10 a.m., a shotgun start to the tournament at 12 p.m. and a dinner reception. Participants and supporters can sponsor or play in the tournament. Donations, both monetary and non-perishable food items, are welcomed. Businesses and individuals can also volunteer or donate raffle items. 'The Three Mrs. Flaglers' live performance

Veterans Creative Expression Workshop: Clay Pumpkin Pie Slice Part 1

When: 11 a.m. to noon

Where: Ormond Memorial Art Museum and Gardens, 78 E. Granada Blvd., Ormond Beach

22nd annual Tommy Tant Memorial Surf Classic kick-off celebration

When: 7 p.m.

Where: Tortugas Florida Kitchen & Bar, 608 S. Ocean Shore Blvd., Flagler Beach

Details: Held in memory of Tommy Tant, a 24-year-old locl surfer who died from an aortic aneurysm, this surf classic event begins with a celebration and auction. Surf events will start Saturday morning at the Flagler Beach Pier. Visit TommyTant.com.

Witches of Flagler Beach bike ride

When: 7:15-11 a.m.

Where: Wickline Park, 315 South 7th St. S., Flagler Beach

Details: Join Flagler Beach Creates for its second annual Halloween charity bike ride. Decorate your bike and dress in costume.  The ride will last about an hour and there will be awards for best witch costume, best "broom stick" (decorated bike), and best cackle. Seaside Herb Society Plant herb sale

When: 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Where: Bailey Riverbridge Gardens, 1 N. Beach St., Ormond Beach

Details: Shop for herbs at this one-day sale. Members of the Seaside Herb Society, a nonprofit, will be available to answer questions about how to use and grow herbs. Money raised at the sale will help maintain the society's herb garden and with community services.

Founder's Day Food Truck Festival

'Menopause the Musical 2: Cruising through "the Change"'

Hall of Terror

Details: The Palm Coast Fire Department will host its 22nd annual Hall of Terror attraction, themed "SCREAM" and focusing on the lore of the namesake movie franchise. All ages are welcome to attend, with supervision recommended for children 13 and under. The attraction features strobe lighting, fog and other special effects. Park next to the Fire Station on Corporate Drive or in the Kohl's shopping center. Free admission.

Trunk-or-treat

Where: Tomoka United Methodist Church, 1000 Old Tomoka Road, Ormond Beach

Details: Tomoka United Methodist Church will host a trunk-or-treat on Halloween for children of all ages. There will be candy, games with prizes, cookies and cider, popcorn, spooky music and more. 

Thursday, Nov. 2

'Educating Rita'

When: 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 2, Friday, Nov. 3 and Saturday, Nov. 4; and 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 5

Where: City Repertory Theatre, 160 Cypress Point Parkway, Suite B207, Palm Coast

Details: Enjoy this bawdy, two-character comedy at City Repertory Theatre. Frank (played by Jack Rose) is a failed writer who has given up on life, while Rita (played by Annie Gaybis) is determined to change hers by getting an education — and sometimes, students end up being the best teachers. Central Park Bike Rodeo & Ride

When: 5-7 p.m.

Where: Central Park in Town Center, 975 Central Ave., Palm Coast

Details: Get ready for an exciting Friday evening at the Central Park Bike Rodeo & Ride in Palm Coast, in recognition of Mobility Week. In partnership with the Palm Coast Fire Department, Flagler County Sheriff's Office, Florida Department of Transportation, and River to Sea Transportation Planning Organization, the Central Park Bike Rodeo & Ride invites families to come together for an evening of biking and safety awareness. Children will receive free bike helmets; all attendees will receive free bike lights. Food trucks will be on site. No bike? No problem! Bicycles will be on hand for those who want to participate but don't have their own.

'The Chosen'
