Flagler County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) deputies made 22 arrests last weekend between 6 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 13, 2023, and 6 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 16, 2023. Over the weekend, deputies handled 832 calls for service and made 127 traffic stops.

“Another busy weekend for our deputies in Flagler County,” said Sheriff Rick Staly. “We captured two criminals who thought they could slip by our deputies without a license and with narcotics in their car. They made a big mistake driving into Flagler County!”

On Saturday morning, Deputy Dorsey conducted a traffic stop on a silver sedan with an Alabama tag on I-95 at mile marker 293. The driver was identified as a 35-year-old man and the passenger as a 36-year-old man.

Upon checking the driver's license, FCSO Dispatch advised Deputy Dorsey that the driver's license had been suspended in Alabama. He admitted he knew it might be suspended. He also told Deputy Dorsey he had a small amount of marijuana in a backpack. The passenger told Deputy Dorsey his license was also suspended. He also had approximately 4 grams of methamphetamine and a glass pipe in his possession.

Both subjects were arrested and transported to the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility (SPHIDF).
