The Riverfest Seafood Festival will return to Ormond Beach's Rockefeller Gardens on Nov. 18-19.
The park will be filled with food and merchandise vendors, live music, hours of free children's activities, a draft beer garden with TVs, and cars on exhibit thanks to the Turkey Rod Run. See local music groups perform too, including Sara Strickhouser, Clayton and Diane Park, and Sesame Plexer, Are Friends Electric and The Vibe. On Saturday, Nov. 18, the free festival will run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Sunday, Nov. 19, the festival will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Some of the children's activities include the community build with blocks project, coloring and crafts, balloon art, a foam party, bounce house and appearances with a local children’s book author. A kids' fishing clinic, sponsored by Hull's Seafood, will also return this year.
Kids ages 4-12 can go through learning stations to find out more about casting, knot tying and ethical angling. When they are finished, they can take home one of 300 free fishing poles, while supplies last.
For the first time, Paddle Pub will be ferrying people across the river. Board the pontoon at the dock located at Cassen Park, and from the beach at Fortunato Park.
Additionally, a free shuttle service sponsored by Realty Pros from two remote parking lots will be available.
