Meet Sage, Big Red, Maurice and Sweetie Boy, the featured adoptable pets from the Flagler Humane Society this week.
Sage, 4, is a loving, affectionate dog who was found as a stray in Hastings and brought into the shelter on Aug. 14. Sage loves to be near people and play with her toys.
Big Red is a friendly 12-year-old male cat who was surrendered to the shelter on Aug. 10. He gets along well with other cats and is affectionate. He'll follow people around and rub all over them until they pet him.
Maurice, 3, is a friendly dog who was found as a stray in Bunnell on July 18. Maurice loves to play outside and is friendly with everyone he meets.
Sweetie Boy, 9.5, came to the shelter on Marcy 9. Sweetie Boy is a very laid back guy who gets along well with other cats. He is pretty independent and just needs someone to make sure he's taken care of.
The Flagler Humane Society, at 1 Shelter Drive off U.S. 1 in Palm Coast, is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Adoption fees vary based on the animal, and the shelter has both dogs and cats up for adoption.
Anyone who is interested in adopting or has questions about the process can contact the Flagler Humane Society at 386-445-1814 or apply online at flaglerhumanesociety.org.
