Motorcyclist dies after rear-ending SUV on I-95

The crash happened about 2 miles south of the exit to State Road 100.

A motorcyclist died after rear-ending a sport utility vehicle on Interstate 95 in Flagler County in the early morning hours of Sept. 24. 

The crash happened at about 2:10 a.m. near Mile Marker 282, about 2 miles south of the exit to State Road 100, according to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol.

The motorcyclist was riding north behind the SUV in the right lane when the motorcyclist crashed into the back of the SUV and was thrown from the motorcycle.

The motorcyclist died at the scene of the crash. His age and city of residence are not listed on the FHP's report. 

The 22-year-old Palm Coast man who was driving the SUV had no injuries. His passenger, a 21-year-old woman from Troy, Alabama, was also uninjured.
